My tutee asked me to accompany her to the Verizon store after our lesson. She used the vocabulary and dialogue practice perfectly when speaking to the employee. However, there were some complications, so I was there to break things down for her and help her find the words she needed to ask the employee questions.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned:
If there hadn't been any issues, the conversation we practiced would've gone well, but it just showed me that mock conversations are only templates. Sometimes real life conversations take twists and turns that students need to be able to handle.
