 July 23, 2021- I met with Steven at Strozier Library for an hour. I focused on listening today as this is an area he mentioned he struggles with the most. I wrote up a short story about a wedding I went to the weekend before. I read it outloud line by line. Then I showed him the script and read it outloud again as he circled any words he did not understand. After reviewing the new vocabulary by drawing them out and giving spanish translations I read each line and had him give me the Spanish translation of it to check his comprehension. Then I asked him true/false questions about the passage to check comprehension. The last activity was we played 3 rounds of Two Truths and a Lie. He had me repeat my sentences a few times but overall he did well speaking and listening in this activity. I think he enjoyed the game the best and did better in his listening when there was less pressure as we were just playing a game.
