Topic/Skill: Finished Its and It's

Feedback provided to tutee: Today, since we had no audio issues we finished our lesson on homophones. This time we rewatched the youtube video, and went over a powerpoint. We also went over a worksheet where Alice had to identify the correct form, its or it's. Alice did a good job identifying the difference however she did have some trouble with the form it's. She would confuse this and sometimes pick the wrong form.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Since Alice was having hard time with some of the questions I encouraged her to re-read the sentence with both answer. Since it's can be pronounced it is, I ask her to pronounce it non-abreviated. Every time she would get stuck I encouraged her to repeat the sentence. This technique ended up working and in the end she was able to differentiate the two.
