Topic/Skill: Regular and Irregular verbs

Feedback provided to tutee: For this lesson, I was debating if Alice should learn it since it can get confusing. I showed her both a youtube video and a PowerPoint presentation. I made sure to place more focus on the PowerPoint presentation since it contained more examples of both regular and irregular verbs.  Since Alice understood regular verbs, we worked on was on irregular verbs. They dealt with changing present to past tense. We were able to successfully complete the worksheets.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I saw the importance of repetition. It is important to rephrase your question multiple times, in case the students need to hear it. One of the worksheets we worked on was to circle the correct word. I noticed that Alice liked where I read the question with both words. I think she hears which phrase makes the most sense. Even when she gets stuck, I just repeat the problem until she is able to figure it out.
