I met with Hang-ah over Zoom on Thursday, August 12, 2021. 

Topic discussed: Olympic games, plans to meet in the future

Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I learned about Hang-ah's favorite Olympic sports to watch, which include table tennis, swimming, and fencing. I told her that swimming, gymnastics, and soccer are some of my favorites. We talked about how the US Women's Soccer team lost in the semifinals and no longer has a chance to play in the finals. Hang-ah was very surprised that I was so emotional about the topic, and so I explained how important the leaders on the team are to young athletes, and how they have inspired so many women to be strong feminists. We then talked about getting a beer together at Ology Brewing in the coming weeks with our partners to play ping pong and drink!

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
