 I met with Hang-ah over Zoom on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. 

Topic discussed: Board games, healthcare, height

Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I learned about Korean healthcare and how it is less expensive but often does not cover the medications people want. I talked about how expensive it is to take an ambulance in the United States, and we joked about taking an Uber instead of calling an ambulance in emergency situations. We also talked about how we hated being tall growing up, which was a shared cultural experience as tall girls. Finally, we talked about our favorite board games. Hang-ah told me about a Korean board game played on holidays in which you get your pieces around the board to win. I told her about the game Aggravation which has similar rules that I used to play with my family.
