Jackson TS #13

 On Wednesday, August 11 at 4:00pm, I met on zoom with Charles from France. We spent quite a long time talking about the internship I have just started with the State Department, and I taught him many words related to foreign policy (in context, of course) including embassy, foreign policy, mission, cable, hierarchy, and more. We spent the time after that working on pronunciation again, as he still has a tendency to mispronounce words ending in r. It is partially because of the French school system teaching British english, but also a result of having not used english in a while. We ended with listening to the song Human by the Killers and having him fill in blanks on the lyrics sheet, an activity I had done with one of my previous tutees.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
