Jackson CP#5

 On Thursday August 11 at 7:00pm, I met again with Maher over zoom. It had been a while since we had last met, so we spent time listening to each other explain the recent developments in our lives. He had just returned from a trip to Orlando with his family, visiting a friend and taking his kids to Disney for a day. He said they absolutely loved it, but he spent more money than he had planned on random souvenirs for the kids. I talked about my preparations for the upcoming year, planning our soccer schedule for club, working with Dance Marathon, and beginning my internship. He was fascinated with the hierarchy of the State Department and just how much coordination it took to pull things like foreign policy off. We ended with a brief discussion of the big soccer game of the day, which my team Chelsea won, then said goodbye.
