Topic/Skill: Listening

Feedback provided to tutee: Today we did 3 short listening activities with a 5-question comprehension quiz for each. I played the listening clips 2 times each and read the script for them between each play. I thought that the comprehension quiz served as feedback, but I decided to also go over the incorrect answers and show him what the right answer was from the video script.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: This time around, I tried to find easier clips for practicing listening because Je-won said that the last lesson's clips were too hard. I found some videos for level 2 beginners, but he did not do very well on them, so after we did two, we did a level 1 beginner video for our last activity. He scored a 5/5 on the last one, but only got 1-3 out of 5 correct on the first two. I now realize that I should have started with level 1 from the beginning, but I didn't want it to be too easy and lose his attention. Over the past 16 sessions, I definitely think that I learned more than Je-won did.
