Today we talked about speaking and listening with various accents. We discussed common accents in America and which accents Americans liked/preferred. I helped her with some pronunciation of words she was confused about. 

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: 

Her laptop still wasn't working so once again, I figured out a lesson and discussion we could just have verbally. I learned that she had trouble understanding certain strong accents, like Southern accents. She also told me some of what she was learning in class so that gave me a better idea for how to teach her.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

p August 28th Today Jeah wrote a lot, I had her create a make belief story to tell me. She struggles finding those in between words like "and" or "a" so we practiced using those or being more mindful and use them correctly.
