Topic/Skill: Editing essay and feedback

Feedback provided to tutee:

We went over the next short essay I had assigned her. Together, we read it out loud and looked at each of the error corrections I had noted using the symbols. I helped her self-correct each notation. I also asked her to brainstorm qualities about herself to start working on a personal essay.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: 

I learned that she likes going over feedback with me in person, so she can just instant confirmation of when she corrects a mistake the right way. In addition, I found she tends to be very general in her essays and needs to be more specific.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
