Topic/Skill: Writing essays, specifically for university

Feedback provided to tutee:

I put together a presentation going over types of papers written in college. It covered topics like citations, outlining, transitions, etc. I also talked about personal essays written for college applications. Then we talked about her week to practice using past tenses in conversation.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: 

Sometimes I expect my lesson plans to last longer than they do, so I need to have more backup plans for when they run short. In addition, in class we talked about how essay structure can differ based on the country but I didn't expect that to apply to my tutee's country. But it did, so I am glad I put together a presentation about writing essays.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
