Topic discussed:

We talked about our weeks, our plans for the weekend, and what media we had been watching/reading. In addition, we told some stories about ourselves and talked about our career plans. 

Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: 

My partner and I learned that we are both least confident in our second language speaking skills but most confident in our writing skills. We also talked about some larger issues, like animal testing and fossil fuels, and it was interesting to share our opinions on that due to our different cultural backgrounds.
