Olivia TS #12

 July 21, 2021 @ 3:30pm. I met with Paola for about an hour at Sweet Shop. We talked a little about our weekends. She remembered that I went to a wedding so I told her about it and showed her pictures of what I was talking about. Then we did a review lesson on what homophones and homographs are. I provided examples of each and showed the patterns between similar spelling but different pronunciation and meaning or same pronunciation but different meaning and spelling. Then we talked about homonyms that can be determined as a noun or verb depending on stress placement. The next activity was a listening activity. I showed her a clip from Seinfled after showing her some vocabulary to listen for. After the video I asked her what she thought the vocab words meant after hearing them in context and had her answer some general comprehension questions. Lastly we went over some reduced words and phrases that were heard in the clip.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
