Topic discussed: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary Comprehension

Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I learned that it is important to repeat the comprehension questions. I think it reinforces the questions so that all aspects of the question are understood. Also, with Reading Comprehension practices it is important to provide a vocabulary list. However, I had us read the vocabulary words together and we worked on defining the words together. I think it would be better if I provided a vocabulary list with their meanings before reading the story. There were several words that Ruth was confused about, so I should have provided example sentences.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
