Topic discussed: Picture Prompt Discussion, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary Comprehension

Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: For this session, we worked on Ruth's speaking and reading comprehension skills. At first, we looked at a couple of pictures and I asked her to describe to them, so we could practice her speaking skills.  I asked her to describe what they were wearing, their emotions, and the surrounding. Next, I asked her to read the story and we answered some questions. We also looked at vocabulary words, and she was able to accurately describe them. Next, I will find a story with more words and harder vocabulary words. I noticed that it is good to repeat the questions back to her. Also going back to the story helped her answer the questions better.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
