Kinsey TS #9

 I met with Ruth in the Hecht House at 3 pm on July 27 in the Hecht House. 

Topic/Skill: We worked on pronunciation and developing vocabulary in Speaking. 

Feedback provided to tutee: I worked with Ruth to develop on finishing the entire pronunciation of words, long vowel sounds, and vocabulary she learned in her speaking class. 

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that beginner level students find almost anything interesting because they have so little exposure to English language. It can be difficult not to get pigeon-holed into an unrelated topic that students are interested in during a lesson. I will need to find a balance between investing in students' interest and following an agenda.
