Jackson TS #5

 At 2:45 on June 10, I had my tutoring session with Hussam. We picked up where we left off last time, discussing the speaking section of the IELTS English exam and running through practice exercises to help him improve his speaking fluency and the structure in which he presents his topics. We talked about how to introduce his topics to make them sound like thesis statements and corrected some of his grammar mistakes, most commonly around the use of prepositions. We finished by discussing his upcoming job interview in Saudi Arabia, as that session was the last he will be in America for. He has already made great progress in just 3 sessions, and hopefully we can continue making similar progress over zoom.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
