Topic/Skill: Lunch and dinner vocabulary

Feedback provided to tutee: I had Je-won repeat sentences, phrases, and vocab words after me. If he didn't say them properly or clearly, I repeated them and had him repeat them back again.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that Google Translate is a helpful tool when it comes to low-level students. If Je-won didn't understand what I was asking, I could type things into Google Translate. Modified English is helpful in a lot of situations, but no amount of slowing down and enunciating will teach a student a vocabulary word that sounds completely foreign. Google Translate helps me when modified English is not enough.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
