Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: Hussam taught me that people in Saudi Arabia really love to drink coffee. When we had our call, he was in a cafe and it was around 9-10 pm. He said that lots of cafes are open 24 hours and that the people there drink coffee at all hours of the day. We also talked about how Covid has changed the way a lot of people see their jobs. We both agreed that lots of people are realizing that companies see them as disposable. There is really no such thing as a secure job anymore. We also talked about being intentional about major life decisions.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
