Topic/Skill: Present and Future Verb Tenses

Feedback provided: I made a powerpoint to reintroduce Dave to the 12 verb tenses. He seemed to grasp the present verb tenses in our last session so I skimmed over a small review with him. We most focuses on future verb tenses which he seemed to struggle with a bit more. After I explained the general rules and gave examples, we watched a clip from The Parent Trap and we made sentences that predicted the outcome of the scene using the four different future tenses. I noticed that he struggled a bit with structure of creating sentences but overall he understood and needed minimal help from me. After the exercise, he told me he understood the lesson but just to make sure, I asked him which concepts were a bit confusing to really understand and based on his answers, I made a short worksheet for him to complete and bring on Friday so we can go over the lesson and his answers. 

Lesson about tutoring learned: Based on the first assessment that I gave Dave and then our second tutoring session I can tell that he is an amazing English speaker and has a lot of understanding. I was a bit worried that my lesson was going to be too short but we actually did not make it through what I came up with so we will finish on Friday. I learned not to worry and be so nervous, I want to be more confident in myself because I do believe that I made progress with him.
