Today I met with Masoud, a beginner CIES student.

Topic/skill: Pronunciation, Simple past tense irregulars

Feedback Provided: Masoud recently had his exam on simple past tense verbs, so our practice was a mix of speaking and grammar to review. Masoud did very well and only made a few grammar/spelling mistakes during the class. Even though his grammar greatly improved from a few weeks ago, he made a few pronunciation errors throughout the lesson as we practiced speaking, but he was able to correct them and I noticed he is improving a lot.

Lessons about Tutoring Learned: It was nice to see Masoud improving on the topics we have been working on. This was our first Zoom lesson, so I added him to the google doc to practice and we filled it out together. It was nice to practice over Zoom and learn how to teach in this format.

Trying to further my evaluation of Jeahs skill we completing a reading assignment. Where we rfead brief articles and answered questions together. This testing her comprehension, which she is pretty good at. I've noticed if she reads out loud she seems to understand stuff better.

 August 3rd Today Jeah and I met after a brief break, we worked on learning new words and what they mean. She loves to draw so I let her draw the new words she learned.
