Topic/Skill: Needs assessment and diagnostics, getting to know my tutee

Feedback provided to tutee:

We talked about her academic goals, what she wanted to focus on (writing and grammar), and about her interests. I noticed she sometimes struggled with language involving essays (ex: thesis), and given that she wants to work on academic writing, I will make sure she knows the vocabulary around academic writing. Also, because we talked about her interests, I am going to come up with essays/activities involving topics she is passionate about.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: 

She is definitely an advanced student, so I will need to make sure I am teaching to her level. Also, she wants to work on grammar in real-life settings, so I will need to come up with ways in involve various verb tenses and grammar points in our conversations and in my lessons for her.
